What to do when the coffee doesn't work anymore

How to consider options other than superfluous sleep or taking some fun drugs!

1. Exercise

A body in motion makes your skin smooth without lotion! Keeping active (and keeping active in a momentum) keeps energy levels up and promotes a healthy heart, immune system, and mental health balanced CNS/PNS.

2. Actually talk to your primary care (or relevant) doctor

If you actually notice a sharp dip in energy that lasts for more than two weeks or is such a significant change from what you or those in your circle notice, just talk to your doctor (or low-cost community clinical or telehealth service in your area) for once. They will likely suggest a lot (but probs not all) of the suggestions in this post, but they will also suggest bloodwork, and possibly a gastroenterological/endocrinological or nutritional assessment, and a mental health check-up. If they don't mention any or all of the mentioned tactics, stay firm and request that these tests be seen as vital and that your health is important (because it is???).

3. Eat maybe three vegetables

Take a diet level approach and consider eating more foods that contain nutrients and B-vitamin rich quality, while covering the gamut of the food rainbow to get all of the zinc, magnesium, choline, and boron your body is probably asking that you give it.

4. Make fun of your friends who do drugs

The deep, joyful feeling of superiority will give you all the energy you need!

5. Go to a place, any place, where you can see both trees and a horizon

Engaging with nature, and bypassing the visual cues of living in a rectilinear city environment, can boost gratitude towards being alive and being able to see in space

6. Go out and see the sunlight before 8 in the morning (or before you leave for work)

Similarly, engaging with society (and ofc the sun) before starting to tackle the tasks of work, creativity, or personal/physical preservation can drastically boost energy levels and give you a jolt (or a calm awareness) of energy that will help to get you to the next point in the day.

7. Return to the coffee shops anyway

Similarly to going out and seeing the sun before starting the workday, going out with that semblance of a task in the morning to coffee shops is something you can absolutely continue to do even if you don't find that coffee specifically wakes you up anymore. Maybe it's a task you do for the taste, maybe for the ritual. Maybe for the fact that it's self care or you can't find any good excuse not to spend some degree of excess monies on the high quality of coffee you can find in NY. See below for the breakdown of the best coffee shops that I keep going back to in NY, for either the taste, caffeine level, environment, or food!

(Coffee doesn't make me heighten focus, it just makes me approach heart attack level heart rate)

8. Slowly descend into a long spiral of energy-seeking behaviors that span the breadth of Kava, Kratom, and unregulated forms of reishi mushrooms, accented by cold plunges into the Battery water and Jimmy's rooftop pool bar, and complemented by the contact highs of seeing the other people that also live in an exhausted state in NY

Self-explanatory.

rt a long beautiful story about your business and how it has started.
